Yavneh Nursery Has Outstanding Features, says OFSTED

Yavneh Nursey , Woodside Park Synagogue's communal nursery for 2 to 5 year olds has come through an unannounced OFSTED inspection with flying colours. The nursery was rated as having excellent relationships with parents. Other "outstanding features" noted by the inspectors were that the children are happy and motivated to learn, enjoy learning, make a positive contribution and develop skills for the future.

Commenting on the results, Miriam Schajer, headteacher said, "We always say that at Yavneh what you see is what you get and we as a staff team are thrilled that the priorities we pride ourselves on were recognised as being of as high a standard as we hoped."

Gary Simon, Chairman of Woodside Park Synagogue added, "Yavneh is one of the few remaining non-commercial nurseries run for the benefit of the Jewish community. It does not have a profit motive and so it is free to concentrate exclusively on delivering a warm and friendly Jewish environment for young parents and their children. We are very proud of our nursery and its enthusiastic staff which has consistently been rated one of the best with a large number of our children going on to take places at Wolfson Hillel School."

For the summer term and beyond, the nursery will be opening its doors at the earlier time of 8.00 o'clock in the morning and providing breakfast for the children. There are a limited number of places available at the nursery for the summer term 2011 and for September entry 2011. If you are interested in securing a place please contact Miriam Schajer, the head teacher on 0208 445 7448.
